Initial intake & Profile setup
Completed within 21 calendar days of inquiry submission.
First counseling session & action plan
Delivered within 10 calendar days of intake completion.
Up to 12 Monthly Counseling Sessions
One-on-one guidance, up to 60 minutes each, starting from intake completion date.
HUD-Approved Counseling Tracks
Credit improvement and/or homeownership readiness pathways.
Up to Three (3) Soft Credit Pulls
For accountability and progress tracking
Certificate of Completion
Upon achieving program milestones, credit score improvement for credit or mortgage product qualification & debt-to-income (DTI) optimization.
How It Works:
Steps to Success
1. Account Creation

2. Intake
Complete a brief inquiry form, speak with our intake team, upload documents, & soft credit pull to set up your profile.
3. Action Plan
A personalized Action Plan for credit and mortgage readiness will be created for accountability.
4. Monthly Check-In
Monthly counseling sessions (up to 60 minutes) to
Review progress, updates, & accountability.
5. Midpoint Evaluation
A midpoint review and soft credit pull to assess progress, update action plan, & ensure accountability.
6. Graduation
Meet goals & receive a Certificate of Completion, confirming credit score readiness and debt-to-income optimization for product qualification.

All personal, financial, and credit information submitted to VAREP is collected, stored, & transmitted securely in compliance with HUD, CFPB, and Navy Federal Credit Union data protection standards. Information is never shared without written client consent or as required by law.
